Life is fleeting, we don’t always “see” life. Ordinarily, we can’t pause life and look at it.

Snapshots capture life’s “true” moments for us. They steal a moment from the flow of time. They show us laughing or crying, playing or sleeping; they show us as angry, sad, happy, or sassy. No artificial constructs, not posed, but true representations of life.

My snapshot oil paintings are intended to give us back these moments, to make them into permanent things. When hung in our homes, they make us smile. They remind us of the potential our children have and to treat them gently, for they are not yet formed.
